Tours Country Of Wine Kakheti
You will travel to Kakheti - a famous wine-growing region. We enjoy its mountains and valleys, get to know local traditions and culture, taste wines and delicious food. On the first day we start with our visit to David-Gareji cave complex (6th century), where we walk up for about 50 minutes to Udabno Monastery to enjoy beautiful frescos. Then we head towards Telavi - the main town of the region. Visit Alaverdi Cathedral (11th century). Overnight in Telavi in a family guesthouse (with shared facilities). At dinner enjoy home-made food and wine. Next morning we visit a local farmer's market, then head to Nekresi Monastery (4th century). A nice walk uphill for about 50 minutes will bring us to the earliest church in Georgia. In Kakheti we also visit a wine factory to taste famous Kakhetian wines and then a local farmer's family to see a unique 300-years old wine cellar. In the evening return to Tbili
